Israel's Declaration of Independence ensures social and political rights to all of Israel's inhabitants
irrespective of religion, race or sex. There are instances when Israel goes off course. "What should Diaspora Jews do?"
In this presentation, Ms. Hoffman will suggest an action guide for the perplexed.
Ms. Hoffman is well known as a leader of Women of the Wall, a group dedicated to obtaining women's right to pray at the Western Wall. She was a Jerusalem City Councilwoman for 14 years, dedicating her life to the principle of tikkun olam, repairing the world through justice and equality, before becoming Executive Director of IRAC in 2002, where she guides its work to promote Jewish pluralism, tolerance and equality and combat racism, corruption and religious coercion.
In addition to Sisterhood, the event is sponsored by the Ottenheimer Foundation, a gift from Carmen Arick and Emily Adams, the Shlenker Philanthropic Fund:
