Our application to participate in the special Life and Legacy program that the Jewish Federations of North America is sponsoring with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation has been submitted.  Thank you to all the congregations that have expressed interest in participating with us.  I will keep you all posted on our application status.

We had a great visit earlier this week with PJ Library Program Director Cynthia Mann.  Thank you to everyone who participated and took the time out to meet with Cynthia and especially to Esther and Victor Biton for hosting the PJ Library Celebration on Tuesday, to Northwest Arkansas PJ Library Administrator Jenny Max for driving in all the way from Bentonville, and to PJ Parent Liz Schwehm for driving in from Russellville to share her inspiring PJ story with us.

We also had an informative and productive meeting last Sunday with Temples Anshe Emeth and Meir Chayim to discuss issues related to their closings.  Thank you to everyone who took time out to attend.

On Monday evening, the JFAR Board approved some exciting innovations for our 2016 Annual Campaign.  Stay tuned for details.

Thank you to everyone for giving so generously to make this year'sOur Christmas Eve Dinner project possible and thank you toSilvana Berlinski and her team of volunteers for their hard work in planning such a special evening.  It's still not too late to contribute:  click here if you would like to make a donation.

We're getting closer to our new database.  Thanks to JFAR Board Member and volunteer Phil Axelroth, our dreams of a database to centralize all our information are becoming a reality.  We are in the process of testing the database at the office.  When it's complete, Phil will lead a presentation for the Board on the kinds of information and reports our database will help us track and compile.

Mark your calendars for Coffee, Cake, and Conversation on Tuesday, January 12th, 11:30 am, in the library of Congregation B'nai Israel.  Eleanor Wolff will discuss her work as an artist and will bring some of her artworks for viewing.  Coffee, Cake is sponsored by Congregation B'nai Israel and JFAR.  All are welcome.

We are also getting closer to our new JFAR website.  Stay tuned for details.  We plan to launch at the beginning of next year.
