Jewish Camp Scholarships

The Jewish Federation of Arkansas is committed to ensuring a Jewish future in Arkansas, and we know that the Jewish summer camp experience is crucial in doing so.

We are pleased to partner with Jewish Children's Regional Service as well as with Congregation B'nai Israel (for Temple members) to provide scholarships to enable Jewish children from Arkansas to attend a Jewish camp (must be a non-profit camp under Jewish auspices).

How to Apply:

All applicants must first apply through Jewish Children's Regional Service here. Applications are typically due by February 15th of each year.

JCRS then notifies JFAR of applications and award determinations, and JFAR, in partnership with Congregation B'nai Israel (for Temple members), matches all JCRS awards. The amount indicated on the award letter you receive from JCRS will already reflect the JFAR/B'nai Israel contribution.

Those who still need additional support after receiving the award letter from JCRS should contact our office: 501 663-3571 or federation@jewisharkansas.org. Congregation B'nai Israel members should also contact Rabbi Barry Block. JFAR also works individually with the camps themselves to cover remaining portions of tuition.
